Irrigator Technician certification course in the state of Texas
Welcome to our training course that will allow you to acquire the necessary knowledge to obtain the Irrigator Technician (IT) License with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ).
The (2) day training course with which you can obtain 16 credit hours necessary to renew the following licenses:
Licensed Irrigators (LI),
Irrigation Technicians (IT),
and Licensed Inspector Operators (Inspectors Operators). the State of Texas once they have satisfactorily completed the course.
The Course, entirely in Spanish, is taught in a face-to-face format in a classroom. Our class is based on Phil Sheppard’s manual titled “Texas Landscape Irrigation Training and Reference Manual.”

1. Irrigation: History and Development
2. Terminology used in Irrigation
3. Components of an Irrigation System
4. Principles of Irrigation and Hydraulics
5. System Design of Irrigation
6. Basics of Installing an Irrigation System
7. Testing an Irrigation System and the Required Maintenance
8. Landscape Irrigation in Texas and Regulations
The cost of the course is US $350.00 per person and is non-refundable. There are no cancellations, but you have the option to enroll in another course on a different date within a year. The course fee does include Phil Sheppard’s manual entitled: “Texas Landscape Irrigation Training & Reference Manual’.
Class hours are from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. On the first day of class, students should arrive 30 minutes early for registration. We have a one-hour break from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm for lunch.
